PARIVAR Society is associated with the Department of Science and Technology Government of India under technology mission division. Under this project named “Citizen’s Campaign for Water Conservation, Harvesting and Groundwater recharge”. PARIVAR Society has come forward to encourage people to save water in region of Delhi NCR and around.
The Department of Science & Technology plays a pivotal role in promotion of science & technology in the country. The department has wide ranging activities ranging from promoting high end basic research and development of cutting edge technologies on one hand to service the technological requirements of the common man through development of appropriate skills and technologies on the other.
PARIVAR Society is People for Agriculture, Rural development, Innovation, Vision and Research Society.We are associated with we National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Government of India (NABARD), which provides livelihoods to thousands in Uttar Pradesh & Delhi NCR region.
Just because a portion of the human population has easy access to water resources, we keep forgetting why saving water is important. Saving water is not only a necessity for humans, our careless waste of water is also affecting the animals and plants around us. There are serious consequences of water depletion.
According to a 2018 Niti Aayog report, Delhi is among 21 Indian cities that is poised to run out of groundwater soon. Illegal constructions near reservoirs, overextraction of groundwater, pollution in water bodies and wastage of residential water supply are some of reasons Delhi is running dry.Delhi has one of the highest percentages of households with piped water among all of India’s states and union territories.
